I have learned much from contemplative practice, the peer and psychiatric survivor movement, and holistic, deconlonized, radical mental health approaches to therapy and healing work. I remain dedicated to thinking outside of the “medical model” of wellness.

I have over 15 years of direct experience in a broad range of social work contexts in and across many systems pre and post masters, which gives me a distinctive understanding of the field. My work has included supporting justice-involved youth, youth in foster care, and individuals experiencing psychosis and other extreme states; developing trauma-informed practices within child welfare systems; advocating for undocumented communities; providing psychotherapy in and outside of an office setting; and supervising clinicians at various stages of professional development.
Working across these settings has given me a broad perspective on the ways individual healing, community support, and systemic change intersect. Working across many settings has given me a broad perspective on the ways individual healing, community support, and systemic change intersect and inform my commitment to compassionate, collaborative, liberatory care.

All of these acronyms and terms may be cute on a resume, but what do they mean for our work? It means that I will blend my knowledge of theory and models of therapy with over a decade of professional experience, a lifetime of personal exploration, attuned presence, intuition and a focus on our relationship.
We meet as we are in the moment - and while this is serious business, it is also absurd and hilarious to be alive.
